Polynucleotides for repair and skin cell renewal
What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are derived from DNA extracted from salmon and trout sperm cells and have been used in hospitals for tissue repair and skin cell renewal. When injected into the skin, they trigger intensive repair processes similar to wound healing, reducing scar tissue and irregular texture. They also have anti-inflammatory properties, enhancing elasticity and hydration, and reducing wrinkles over time.
Are Polynucleotides the same as fillers?
No, because unlike traditional fillers, polynucleotides are an easy absorbing product that integrates into the extra cellular matrix and provides nurture to the skin, after being absorbed by the skin they gradually dissipate in a matter of days. Unlike fillers, they don’t volumize and don’t change the shape of the face. Their activity is limited to the skin and subcutaneous tissue where they improve skin regeneration.Which areas can polynucleotides treat?
- Skin revitalisation to combat general signs of ageing
- Perfect for under eyes wrinkles and dark circles
- Scarring
- Rehydration for dull skin at any age
- Rosacea
- Loose and sagging skin
- Alopecia/hair loss
- Hyperpigmentation

How is the treatment done?
After the numbing crème has started to work, the skin is disinfected and the product is injected in small amounts with a thin needle into the skin. The treatment takes no longer than 30 minutes. After the treatment you might experience skin bumps, local swelling and redness. Although not common, bruising can occur. The redness and swelling resolves in 8-12 hours. How many treatments are needed?
A course of 3 treatments is advised. With intervals of 3 weeks apart. Depending of the concerns, more treatments might be needed and a treatment plan can be tailored according to each patient.closed
